My Livebox is recording the following at least twice roughly every hour/2 hourly, when connection lost for up to 2 minutes, connection is stable in between. Orange say a line test is clear. Any explanation from the experienced please? I think it may be water affecting an underground joint on the landline which has some low level crackling, but with line test OK presumably I'd incur an Openreach charge if Orange arrange to send out an Openreach engineer which they've offered and they say the same thing: can't find a problem? SNM usually stable at around 10 is jumping around between 9.3 and 11 (Routerstats), speed is capped at 4meg after a PPP server fault and has not changed through max upload has fallen from 900 to 600 on ADSL2+ LLU, and internet drops when phone in use, which has never happened before, and also occurs using a different handset.

[quote="Borednow"]Looks to me like the line test would be OK because it seems to be the connection from the exchange back to Orange servers.
Thanks, Borednow. Seems like the log, which I found for the old Inventel model at http://configuration.adsl/loga...dsl.cmd, may be useful after all. Anyway after continuous disconnects/reconnects alll night it's been back since just before 7am, only difference the lower upload speed. As I'm in the country maybe BT did something to the backhaul (IP address so presumably server seems to be in Westminster (may be another story!) ).
Looks to me like the line test would be OK because it seems to be the connection from the exchange back to Ora nge servers.

No, that's just the router killing the PPP Daemon (because it's lost synch) and re-starting the Daemon (because it's re-synch'ed). The root problem here is the losses of synch.
