A while ago we received a letter that we were going to be able to receive higher speeds. Up until Saturday, we were (6Mbps), until suddenly the speed dropped to next to nothing (under 200kbps). I've tried resetting the Livebox, fiddling around with connection settings etc. but to no avail. Orange, have, of course, promised a line test.
The connection has now (as far as I can tell) totally died, I can't even get the configuration pages up and the livebox isn't even responding to ping requests (it was before).
I'm going to try using an older DSL modem at some point this week to see if the slow speeds are down to the livebox but I have no idea if I'll be able to find drivers let alone get it working.
Has anyone else had similar problems, and if so have they managed to fix it?

It looks as if your LiveBox is more or less completely kaput. Ask Orange to send you another one. But be prepared to go through some unnecessary channels before they do send you a replacement.

The internet, livebox configuration and all, mysteriously started working again yesterday (the 1st) morning. I'm inclined to think that we'd hit a transfer limit and been capped, but the Nice Orange Man On The Phone said that there were no notes attached to the account which would imply to me that we weren't. It's not quite as fast as it was previously but the fact that it's working is good enough for me at the moment.
