You can't reset the code by restoring the LiveBox to it's factory settings. Ask Orange to send you a replacement. In fact I'm quite surprised that first, the WEP doesn't match to the Box and secondly, the guy in India hung up on you
Re. the WEP code, all I can think of is that someone must have stuck the wrong sticker on the Box. As mentioned, ask Orange to send you another one. I can't see why they shouldn't.

Log in to your Livebox (http://192.168.1.1) and click on System Information on the left. The security key is detailed towards the bottom of the second box which will be displayed. Copy and paste this (Ctrl-C --> Ctrl-V) into a Notepad file or similar, and transfer this to the computer you're trying to connect. Copy and paste into your connection dialogue, et voila - job done!
To be honest, I think your problem is probably that you've mis-copied the code - they're very long, and tend to have lots of 0/O 1/ls there as potential mistakes. Copy and paste is much simpler. But even if the code on the box is wrong, the code displayed on the unit can't be.
You seem very keen on replacing Liveboxes in a lot of your posts.
Can you explain ?
Lol ! - it's because sometimes it's just too time-consuming (and frustrating) messing about with it. If you can fix it, fine; if not (and you've tried everything), then the next step would be to ask for a replacement Box.
I can assure you, it solves a lot of problems; a brand new LiveBox
