After many problem free years with freeserve then wanadoo, I have reached boilling point with Orange. I have been without Broadband since 30/06/06. despite numerous calls to the "service centre" the only informatin I have had back is to call back in 48 hours time and there is fault on the line which is being invstigated. The call has supposedly been escalated twice, but I still have no information on what the fault is or when it will be fixed. (In case there is anyone else out there who can help, Broadband was working fine until Orange came along. I have faults 619, 680 and a flashig ADSL light on the 330 modem or ethernet router both of which worked previously. I've tried plugging into the socket where the line enters the wall swapping filters etc). I now have a MAC and I'm off.
Broadband was working fine until Orange came along.
France Telecom rebranding it's UK ISP from Wanadoo to Orange has no effect on your broadband. You're still dealing with exactly the same company as before, just with a different name.
I really don't care about what the corporate structure and branding is. I just want the Broadband service that I pay for. The fact that my Broadband stopped working when it was re-branded to Orange may have been coincidence or not, the fact is that is when I started having problems.

Hi again let me know how your migration is going, if you are LLU'd at your exchange like i was it will take a bit longer for your migration to complete be patient there was a bit of a blip with mine but IDNet sorted it with BT quickly.
Regards
Steve

Got the MAC, but it doesn't work. When IDNet put it into the system, nothing comes up, no line came up to migrate. It wasn't the first time they had problems from Orange. So I have cancelled my Orange contract (rather than wait another 3 days and get another dud MAC) and have to wait 10 days to get the marker removed, then re-submit the order to IDNet as a new request. Probably mid September before the Broadband is hopefully back. Until then more dialup
Moved to IDNet, Broadband working fine within 3 days of placing the order. To all those struggling with Orange, don't bother - move to another ISP it may take a few weeks but it will be quicker than waiting for Orange to fix anything. I had been struggling to get Broadband fixed for 9 weeks with Orange and got nowhere.
