<Livebox Issues? ~ Livebox dropping LAN connection whenever wifi connected

Not sure about this one but the livebox is killing the LAN connection whenever a wifi device is using it. After a few mins of using skype on my wifi machine, the other PC connected by lan, dies. Only way to fix it is to reboot the box or shove the cable in the other network port on the livebox.
The PC on the lan cant even ping or open a webpage to the livebox admin page.
One thing I have noticed, is the lan still says it's connected. yet it cant even ping the livebox...
the wifi connection remains intact.
I've now changed the firewall to off in case the packets are getting screwed up and I've swapped the cable to the yellow port instead of the red one.. does anyone else have any ideas???
It sounds like there may be some sort of DHCP or routing issue causing a conflict or preventing traffic flows, I doubt it has anything to do with the firewall so you should probably turn that back on.
Open up a command prompt and run ipconfig /all on both machines to check if they have been assigned different IP's by the livebox.

Just ran a test after swapping the port and disabling the firewall
The system Pinging google -t for the last 3 hours, and I wrote a webpage that loaded several sites into a child window and refreshed it every 5 seconds,
on my wifi system, I was downloading, skype, anything I could to keep a cosntant bitrate, and the other system didnt drop out. I'm thinking either the firewall in the Orange box is FUBAR which wouldn't surprise me in the least (personally id rather put my own hardware firewall in there) or a bunked network port.
I'll try again and in the morning and swap the network port over, see if its that...

Ok here's the update after all the trying
Swapped it over to the other network port and turned firewall off. problem did not reoccur for two solid weeks.
Problem has just occured and I have tried giving the wired pc a static IP address and related values, No luck, Tried flushing DNS, no luck, couldnt talk to livebox.
Reset all of that, and rebooted pc, no luck wouldnt connect, best I could get was a DHCP issue.
Soft reset livebox (pulled plug out etc) and now connected fine, did a hard reset on livebox (by holding button one and resetting connection) now connects fine.
Any ideas what on earth is going on with this thing?
I'm tempted to replace it, I'd be more than happy to, but then by doing that, we loose the voip phone, which despite Orange's issues, is saving us a fortune.
I turned off uPnP in the Livebox configuration pages (Configuration > Advanced > uPnP) and now there is a continuous connection when connected via the LAN.
