I had a problem with my pc so I connected my daughters pc up only to find I had no broadband (Which I had no previous problems with) I contacted Orange 4 weeks ago about this and I still have no broadband which I am finding impossible to live without now as I pay all bills etc this way. I have lost count how many phone calls I have made to find out if any progress is being made only to be told we will call you back in 48hrs which they do sometimes only to tell me what I already know. Two weeks ago when they eventually escalated the problem they said BT were checking this out. They then said BT said the line was OK and that they would make some other checks. Then on Friday gone a lady phoned to say she was sending me a new lead which I informed her I had tried a new lead myself (Same result) She then said they would contact BT again which could take up to 6 working days to respond. When I replied telling her that would take another week without broadband and that the service they were supplying was not good enough she asked me if I wanted to cancel my contract with them.
This is not good enough and I am looking into suing them for Breach of Contract. Any help would be appreciated. They have given me 1 months free £24 but I find that paltry and I now have to use the internet from work which is limited. I dread to think how many emails I will have to go through considering I received about 80 a day.
Any help on this matter would be a blessing.

Accept their offer to cancel the contract free of all charges on the basis that you have had 30 consecutive days without a BB connection. Get the offer in writing because verbal agreements tend to be ignored.
Trust me, if you wait for Orange to resolve this problem then you could be disconnected for another month.
Cheers will do especially after Orange have just phoned me at work this morning. The guy said they had tried everything without a result so they needed an engineer to visit my home to sort the problem. I said great, when ? the reply was next Wednesday 10.06.09 over another week Grrr!!
I told him to forget it I will phone them to cancel tonight and get a supplier who can deliver Broadband. I was thinking Tiscali with all day calls and line rental included fo £20 a month
