I was going to do a speedtest.net reading for my profile on here but the 'net was running super-slow on my main PC with pages failing to load so I used this gaming rig, but the first test gave me a download of 39457 kb/s, 10 times my usual maximum. Upload was the usual of a little over 500 kb/s. A second reading gave me 64640 kb/s!
So, thinking it was just speedtest.net playing up, i tried speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/ and got an even more incredible 114735 kb/s
I was thinking there was something wrong with the sites or my connection (and even wondering if the fact my migration to o2 (now Sky) should be completed on Wednesday was somehow causing weird results), when I managed to do a test on the main PC after all. It came out with a normal 3747kb/s.
So, why should I be getting such wildly inaccurate results?
