I used to be, but I've already asked about being throttled and I'm not. I mostly download PS3 demos and stuff. But I'm getting a poor connection on CoD, maybe it's just others who host that have rubbish speeds

It is likely that other hosts are effecting your in game experience, try only connecting to european hosts if you dont already.
Also try using a wired connection to the PS3, its far more reliable than wifi, especially if theres multiple hosts on your home network. An N spec router would not make much difference, if any as im fairly sure the PS3 does not sport an N spec wireless chipset (correct me if I'm wrong!).

It's not practical for me to use a wired connection (ps3 is floor above livebox) and I'm sure N+ is just a router with increased range and features.
And the game keeps connecting me to US hosts all the time! :@
