Well I finally took the plunge and am now with o2 (now Sky). On average I'm getting at the slowest 3.5mb and have had just under 10mb at the fastest. I decided to give Orange a last chance and called them back. I told them of the speeds that o2 (now Sky) were providing and they stated that unfortunately due to their equipment the fastest they could offer was still only 1mb. They even told me that people who were signing up for upto 8mb had no chance of achieving this as the exchange was limited to 1mb!!!!! So I'm happy to say that the move to o2 (now Sky) has served its purpose. Finally though, orange did say that they could give me the same deal as I had before and the first six months would be free and after that it would be 9.99 per month! Hmmmm, my deal when I was with them was 5.00 per month and a good 6mb download speed. So the deal now is slower speed for a higher price. Thanks Orange but no thanks
