After 10+ years being with Freeserve from the start, via Wanadoo and to Orange Broadband, I finally jumped ship to 02 in July and haven't regretted it at all:
1. No more Livebox dropouts and need to reset (now rock-solid with 02)
2. No more poor upload speeds (now 3x faster with 02)
3. No more Indian Call Centres "Yes I can help you with that" When they plainly CAN'T
4. No more email problems
5. No more extortionate monthly charges (just 7.50 pm with 02)
6. No more hanging on forever to talk to support or Customer "Service"
7. No ugly Livebox
8. No low-range wi-fi
9. No hit-or-miss download speeds
10.No silent voip calls.
It is absolute bliss being with 02. Excellent product and helpful, friendly, responsive, efficient, FREE Customer Service.
My last-ever problem with Orange was when they denied for weeks that I had sent my Livebox back and threatened to charge me for it, and then weeks later receiving a letter from Orange out of the blue that they had at last "received" my Livebox afterall.
The only thing that delayed me from leaving Orange was that I found the Livebox LAN-printer function very useful, but I have since found a Belkin USB Hub fits the bill equally well.
I am so glad to be rid of the colour Orange in my life. They made my internet-life a misery. And no, I don't work for 02.
2. No more poor upload speeds (now 3x faster with 02)
To be fair to Orange, even on a properly functioning Orangle ADSLMax non LLU, transferring to o2 (now Sky) LLU ADSL2+, your upload speed was always going to increase due to the difference in technology, but I do agree with all your other points as a customer who took the same path as you

Now the future definately is bright
I am a long termer starting with freeserve - but it went so wrong when Orange came along.
I have had 2 months no service this year, livebox that was faulty that they wouldnt replace, so I had to spend £80 on a new router which fixed the problem, now browsing speeds are worse than dialup, with most sites timing out.
I dont want to even mention customer support - I know 7 year olds who know more about IP and networking than those fools in that foreign call centre.
