Hello,

My internet connection was down for the last 5 days, now it has come back, but its slow. When I play my Wii online, the lag is beyond terrible - I can't stand to play it!

Does anyb ody know what is up? Or whether these is any route I can follow?

The speed was fine before it cut off, now its just slow...

Could be one or more of several things but the main problem is that online gaming and Orange are not compatible.

It could be you've been LLU'd recently for example.

Ping bbc.co.uk and see what the result is. Are you getting >100ms because that's quite normal.

But I have had Orange for two years now...

There has never been this problem before (games were fine) its only since it went down last week... it came back funny.

But you may have been on the bought in BT Max, now you're on LLU...I don't know for certain but this might explain it.

If this change has happened then most people find they need to tweak their MTU and RWIN settings. Read the link in the left menu column.

To check if you're on LLU, try to log on to www.speedtester.BT.com, if you can't then you're on LLU.

OK, I just ran a speed test, the results were:

439kbs download
53 kbs upload

Ping 147ms

Is this crap?

Pulling no punches, yes it is, but it depends on which speed test you used. You won't find any 2 giving exactly the same result.

Did you try www.speedtester.BT.com ?
