Thanks for the replies - i'm now back on as of around 11pm last night.
Took a while but finally got there.
Thanks for all the support and putting things in perspective.
Hi, i found this site not long after i got broadband with Orange (DOH) and now im having problems.
I had the PPP server down error on the live box (which i never use) as i have a Belkin router (its my house mates).
Im currently online on the belkin router, however.... i can't access certain websites, eg msn.com, myspace.com, torrentz.com and also windows live messenger/msn.
I've set the router up to use the 2 dns's given 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220
Some help would be sweet as i've been recently applying for jobs and i can't access my email account

Sounds like it could be an MTU/RWIN problem....click on the menu link on the left of this page. Read thoroughly and carefully.
This problem can occur if your connection changes from Max to LLU.
Cheers, i ran the Dr tcp on all the machine's that are hooked up to the router (wired and wirelessly) and they're all fine now. However i can't seem to make the router do it on its own without the pc's being tweaked !
The mtu on the router is at 1430 currently and all the pc's are now tweaked to that aswell.
Also will the DNS matter if i use 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 or should i be using either of the other 2 that the guy above put ?
The MTU setting in your router must not be less than the MTU on your PC.
Remember that MTU and RWIN go hand in hand, change the MTU and you need to check that the RWIN is still in tune.
Those DNS servers are OpenDNS and I've used them for about a year now because Orange's were so unreliable......it's your choice, but I find OpenDNS extremely reliable.
How can i find out if the RWIN has been tweaked on the router ?
The router mtu is 1430 same as all of the computers (minus my ps3 )
Any idea how to change the RWIN in the router or do i need to update the firmware in it or something ? It's not been updated since its been bought which was about 2 yrs ago. Could this have something to do with it also ?
Ok, any idea's how i can get my ps3 to work wirelessly with my router ?
As since this has happened i can't connect wirelessly. I can wired but it means having to unplug it and plug it in from 1 pc to the ps3 and back etc !
