I saw the announce on the homepage that this site was going down for a day or two - but I've noticed ever since that, this site sometimes has problems loading, but will load up fine 2 minutes later

Thank you for your feedback... I shall keep an eye on things over the next few days, hopefully things should settle down... We moved the entire site to news servers so a little tweaking is going on at the moment in the background!
One problem I've found since returning from holiday, using the "View posts since last visit" link on the Index page, very often when arrowing back from a post, an error message saying something like another search is not possible so soon after the last one.

I updated my profile details, including my email address (this forum was one of the few sources of legitimate mail to my old Freeserve email address, which now attracts 2/300 spam messages per day). After doing this, I got a message that a reactivation email had been sent to me, and that until I used it I wouldn't be able to log in. No such email ever arrived to either of the two email addresses. Over the past couple of weeks I've sent a couple of messages to Kevin, but have received nothing back.
I've finally given up now, and have re-registered with a new account. Lucky I still had a couple of spare email addresses I could fall back on! Anyway, it's annoying because I still can't retrieve messages from this site at my main email account! Grrrr!

Ah yes... The security settings on the site prevent people from posting (or searching in this case) again in a given period of time.
When you use your back button, you effectively search again for new posts - thus you need to have waited at least 30 seconds! We have reduced the "flood interval" as it is called to 10 seconds... Let us know if that helps.

Well problems still happening. I am using OpenDNS, and there is a link on there which gives the reason for the intermittent fails
