Have tried everything under the sun to get connected wireless. If I buy another live box can I make a wired connection on a seperate pc? So I have 2 desktops with 2 seperate boxes as wired connections? Thanks

UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH WIRELESS:
Are you sure that you have a wireless adapter installed on your the computer - I know it sounds daft - but there are many computers, especially desktops, that do not.
Are you pressing Button 1 on Livebox to put it into pairing mode?
Press Button 1 on Livebox so the wifi light flashes. This puts livebox into pairing mode and you have 10 minutes to try and connect your wireless device . This only needs to be done once and then you should be able to connect every time .
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
If security is an issue WPA is more secure, try WPA only.
You could also try Changing the channel. One recommended to try is channel 9. Try this first if you can not see the Livebox at all.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn off the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.
I have vista on it. It connects wirelessley but limited with full signal.
I have been on endless phone calls to Orange and dell with no luck.
Dell have took over my computer from there end and checked all the settings, tryed absolubley everthing!! It just ain't happening, dell say they can send someone but will charge me!
I ain't paying anyone only had the pc 2 weeks and it cost £550!
Can I do what my origional questions explains, buying another live box and making another wired connection?

No that will not work.
OK back to basics there could be a fault with the router or computer. I would try and connect the laptop on to a known working wireless router - to make sure that the wireless is working on laptop.
