I hope I'm not tempting fate here but it seems as though the problems have been resolved, I've been connected since about 7 this evening without any issues....fingers crossed lol
The disappointing thing for me is that Orange have made no reference to these problems on their Service Status page, as far as I am aware, although it was obviously a major incident, it would have been such a simple thing for them to have done and would have gone some way to gaining themselves some credibilty as I'm sure the majority of people realise that problems will occur from time to time but if kept informed will be more willing to accept the situation.
Looks like Orange is down yet again with DNS problems. I have got a Speedtouch modem running Windows 2000, am I able to bypass the Orange servers? Being incredibly stupid, I am not sure what to do.

Thanks borednow, but I don't know how/where to enter the DNS numbers.
Open your Network connection, right click on it (LAN or wireless whichever you're using), click Properties, highlight Internet Protocol, click Properties, click "Use the following DNS server address automatically", enter the 2 addresses, click OK.
