Please help, I've had max since it first came out and had no problems. I go away for a week and on commencing a down load notice the speed change. Where I could download a 4gig file in 20 mins it now tells me it will take 4 days. I've talked to the help line with no joy just an expensive phone call. on looking at my speeds I see the up load is 244kbps and download 144kbps. Please can anyone help as I may just as will cancel the account with this speed.

You shouldn't have gone away....they LLU'd you while you weren't looking !!
Read MTU and RWIN Tweaks (in menu on the left).....LLU connections don't seem to work with Max settings.
That shows that very recently you had a major low sync event. Something caused the connection to reset and it was only able to re-establish at a very low speed. Because of this the profile will now have been lowered. Try turning off your livebox for 15 minutes or so, when you turn it back on and get reconnected you should see the downstream rate return to around 8096. That means the problem is half fixed, after that it's a matter of waiting upto 3 days for the system to increase the profile. You can check the profile by doing a BT speedtest.
Sometimes you can get events like this happening, they can be very hard to track the cause as they can just be one offs.
