When I signed upo with Orange last year I had speeds of 6meg. It then went down to about 3 meg and is now at about 1meg.
What tests must I run to see if i've been capped ?
My filters are fine and i've phoned the helpline a few times but only get through to India where i either can't understand what they're saying or they can't understand the problems.

Post your router/line stats or if on Max (which I would doubt from the speed symptoms you've given, reckon you've been LLU'd) run www.speedtester.BT.com and post.
