Just joined Orange Home Max for as an existing mobile customer for £35 per month – 400mins 100 txts,line rental and BB. BB works fine on Ethernet cable (although only 2.5 speed,not 8!!). I rang cutomer services as it is not set up wireless, I have an ASUS router and they said contact them, I have done so and they say contact Orange! I know the wireless router works as it worked fine with BT. I wrote an email to Orange and they have yet to get back to me,so I am not sure what to do. After reading several forums I am now worried about joining Orange long term and I only have a few days left to cancel. Any advice please on should I stay or should I go.Any recommendations of other providers at a competitve price? Thanking you in advance.
If you intend using customer support, or if you are unlucky enough to need customer support, then don't join Orange. They seem to have very poorly trained call centre staff, stationed overseas, and are only capable of answering the simplest queries as far as my experience goes. Go for an ISP with UK based helplines.
As for your router, google 'setting up a wireless router' - there are many walk throughs telling you what information to put where...
