I had been having a problem with both slow speed and connection problems for around Three months. The result of a BT speedtest run on 8/02 was as follows:
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
DSL connection rate: 384 kbps(UP-STREAM) 608 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 116 kbps
Very surpringsly recently the connection problem seems to have stopped and the BT speedtests have given better results Three times in a row. The last was as follows:
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 4928 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3697 kbps
I have been left wondering if these results are now reasonable and if this change has been due to some software update to the livebox that Orange announced recently ?
