I know my line should be on the 10 day training however this should start at the max throughput then work down.
A bit peeved at the fact they assume my line cannot sustain the 4000kbps as I rarely disconnected when at this speed.
I suppose I could Clear my cookies to change my profile lol.
During the 10 day training period the connection starts on 2 meg and then works towards it's final speed, this can change within 75 minutes of the first connection, I believe. However it's fairly well known the speed can act a little odd during those 10 days, sometimes not changing until they're up.

I read this somewhere after posting in this forum.
Happy with the stability of the connection at the moment and the fact that I can still download after 6pm (unlike pipex/tiscali).
Will have to wait and see if I do get a speed increase.
could always ring up and ask "what speed am i on or should i be getting?"
you will get a response there and then, if they tell you a speed slower than what you are getting at the moment then something maybe wrong or you may still be in the stability period, give it a few more days, i personally reckon up to 10 working days at most and give them another ring if slow speeds still remain.
again submitting a few results to speedtester.BT.com would not hurt if you were going to ring in for a line test

Usually only drops when there's instability. Best keep an eye on the profile and downstream rate shown, if the downstream drops then it could indicate a problem. Then again might just be a one off event and go back to normal shortly.
