Over the last few months I've had problems with the connection to the Livebox repeatedly dropping. If I go into Network service centre (on Vista 32bit) it says the signal is at 100%, but will not reconnect straight away. After about 5 tries it will reconnect.
Is there some kind of setting I may have mistakenly adjusted to cause the WIFI connection to drop every few minutes? I've tried countless factory resets, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I've also got an XBox 360 and Wii connected wirelessly, and another PC connected via cable. These all work fine. I'm using the Inventel Wifi adaptor, which I've used for 3 years previously without a problem.

I haven't had any luck with the wireless part of the livebox, so we always connect another router to the ethernetport of the livebox and forget about using the wireless from livebox.
As you tell that other devices don't drop the connection at the same time as you r computer drops the connection that votes for software problems instead of hardware problems I though until now.
See my other post feb 5 . I run several liveboxes for several offices and houses, and they all have this wireless dropping problem...
For us it is 100% solved by using any linksys or other router for wireless instead of the livebox... more wires and stuff again.. Little ugly solution, but it works.

Things have now got even worse. My Wii and XBox will no longer connect at all, and the wirelessly connect Vista PC will connect for about 10-30 seconds.
The event log has literally hundreds of errors stating that the PC "has been denied by the DHCP server".
For some reason the WIFI DHCP leases seem to last about 10 seconds.
I'm thinking of disabling DHCP and manually configuring the IP's.
