I connected my PS3 wirelessly today with the livebox following the guide on here. Just browsing my settings etc in the configuration page and it shows 4 devices connected to my network . Now all I have are a MAC and the PS3. Are some of the neighbours nicking some bandwidth or am I being paranoid ? The bloke opposite is an IT whizz so wouldn't surprise me . They are represented in IP address like strings but for the life of me I don't know which are mine and which may be someone else's . When I connected the PS3 I named it but for some reason it's not shown with the name I gave it.
The Livebox retains the address of any device that has been connected to it - I currently have a list of 4 devices but only have 2 PCs currently networked - the other addresses are old PCs which I no longer use.
To check you can remove the devices using the "security" - "associated devices" page on the Livebox configuration and then just reconnect your own machines. You should then only have the two listed.

Yes mate thanks for the reply did that last night and it's fine now. Got a bit worried that someone was up to no good !
some routers show MAC addresses that are trying to connect to the router in the same place as the ones that are connected, i live in an area surrounded by students and i have loads of them trying to connect or hack using whatever WEP/WPA Crackers they may have, uni is pretty good for computer courses so i wouldnt be suprised if some of them managed to break into it. My netgear has loads and loads of MAC address, i wrote down MY Devices MAC Adds in a note pad file so i can keep a log of all of the unknown ones. Also not 100% but the livebox may have MAC filtering, will have to look that up, if it does then just enable that for your own devices
