I have been using outlook for sometime now (outlook 2007 office enterprise version) but stopped for a few months. I came back last week and went to check my emails. But when i went to send some the SMTP server wasnt working (smtp.orange.net / port 25) has Orange changed their smtp server ?
And if so does anyone know what it is now ?

smtp.orange.net is for mobile accounts

The mobile email settings are
Email SMTP server: smtp.orange.net
Prim. DNS Server: 158.43.192.1
Sec. DNS Server: 158.43.128.1

For internet email the smtp should be smtp.orangehome.co.uk
You could also try inputting SMTP 193.252.22.138
The port is 25

Ensure your firewall isnt blocking outgoing messages, and also that your account name and password are correct.

Thank you for a prompt reply but i did tke your advice and try those settings and yet i still get the error code "Send test e-mail message: An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x800ccc69"

Any ideas for what i can do ? ive googled the error code but all i can get is other forums telling me it means ive input my smtp server wrong or port etc ....

.... it worked ... i can now send mail ... but the sending of test email didnt work ... how odd ... ah well thanks for all the help =)
