All rather academic when there's so much noise on the VOIP line, that the folk at the other end cannot hear a word you say - IMO Orange VOIP is useless!!
If you only want one phone line to make voip calls, Vonage would be ideal for you. Vonage calls are made through your broadband connection using your existing home phone. Just move to a cable broadband provider where your phone package is independant to your broadband line ie Virgin. You could then sign up to Vonage from £5.99 a month and make unlimited landline calls. You'll make a huge saving not paying a line rental.
