Hi, I've been having some troubles over the past few days accessing a number of sites and the gaming service steam - its like the MTU and RWIN problems I've read about on here, but worst. Perfectly valid IP addresses and webpages are being simply not working directly, and yet by proxy's I've seen that they are fine.
My setup is the Livebox with the 8mb upgrade, one desktop PC and a laptop.
So far, I have tried:-
1 - Tweaking my MTU and RWin settings (from 1430 up to 1600 for Rwin)
2 - Changing my DNS server
3 - and a work around of looking for a SOCK-4/5 server to use for tempory use (none of them seem to work so far).

You need to read the other related posts concerning Orange server problems causing current web site access problems.
hey i got the same problems as well
im unable to connect to steam or go on their website
but i can do anything else that requires an internet connection
i use a livebox like you
think its just Orange being idiots again

I've been having these problems for two days. Finally decided to flush my DNS cache this morning
Open Command Prompt and typed
ipconfig /flushdns (ipconfig*SPACE*/flushdns)
Hit enter, DNS cache flushed
Seemed to solve the problems i was having getting on to C0D4 servers from my PC. That being said i'm not using my live box and i use Open DNS as my name resolver
