As I know I havent changed anything - because I have been away ! - who else can have changed what I have to ask ??
Had exactly the same problem last week - was unable to receive any emails via Outlook Express though could send and no problem using webmai. Spent more than an hour talking to friendly man in India who eventually admitted he had no idea what to try next apart from my talking to Microsoft. Before I did that I changed my password and suddenly all was OK again- took me about 5 minutes on the Orange website to work out how to change the password but I did do it eventually.
Only problem now after a week away - Outlook Express Ok but completely unable to get onto my webmail. Put in my emailaddress and password - wait - oops cannot find server. I Can get in via Bluetooth and my phone. Now don't know if it is my router which is playing up or Orange.
Think I am about to cry !!!!!!!!!
I think it is Orange coz i accessed my e-mail from neighbours pc. can't access my favourite web sites from my pc now,but can hers. ok got me ump now lol

Not sure whether it was disconnecting and reconnecting my Livebox (possible), or emailing customer services asking when service was going to be resumed (doubtful)
Have stopped crying for the moment as it is all running again and I can get at (receive and send) emails both on the mail server and on both laptop and PC via Outlook Express. At one point in the last couple of hours the situation was looking absolutely dire as couldnt connect via the router - ethernet cable or wireless, via the speedtouch modem or via the bluetooth to the mobile.
Have kicked quite a few things including the phone socket, the router, the router gateway, renamed the wireless network and restored my laptop back to the 17th. It all now works again - at the moment it all works, connects to the internet as it should
Funny thing is I didnt actually do anything at all to cause all these problems. I couldnt have - I was away from home and noone else has touched the computers. Yes really.
So fingers crossed that the gremlins keep out and next time it happens I will probably buy a new router.
????? Why is there so much Spam this week. I have it filtered out and have received about 1000 'untrapped' while I have been away for 5 days.
Are the Orange antispam team on strike ?
I Do absolutely recommend changing password on mail server if anyone gets the problem of not being able to sign on properly to receive in outlook express. I suspect that my password may have been 'trapped' invisibly somewhere. It certainly solved my problem last week anyway.

Sometimes your password can get corrupt in Outlook Express if that happens you usually have to delete the account affected and put it back in fresh for it to work again so if it ever happens again try that first.

Well I have just reset my livebox and still cannot access webmail . I am really annoyed about this .
I have given up with their helpline. Everything they have suggested i could have done myself by reading the help on the Orange web page or lokking at this web site. They are now repeating themselves. I have sent a snail mail letter to their customer care department expressing my frustration ans disgust at their service.
I have tried all of that for IE but still no luck I had this happen before sometime last year and all I did was reset the computer and it come back on again. This time nothing really unhappy right now .
Has anyone had any joy yet getting any of there problems resolved ?

NOOOOOOOOOO and i am getting really annoyed. I know thats not helping but its so frustrating not knowing whats going on. When i spoke to Orange yest am they were aware of problem and said 24 hours more to sort it,and hey ho its not done. Anyway i am in north kent and have problems,perhaps we can post where we are and if its working properly.

Getting the same problem in Shrewsbury -No Orange Webmail. but able to receive emails in
MS Outlook ok. Can't get some of my regular websites either eg coral.co.uk either.
Their Service status info line says all ok but was last updated Thursday.
I suppose we've got wait till they sort it out - not too long I hope but then again it is a French company so anything's possible.
I am in hartlepool, North East England. i can get webmail, and can send via outlook, but receiving email takes circa 20 mimnutes with a simple email with no attachments. Orange helpline claim all is well this morning as does web page.
