I have an odd problem thats driving me to distraction. I have been with Orange since the freeserve days, had the odd problems with connections over the years, but stuck with it. I recently upgraded to a Belkin N1 Router to give me better wireless coverage of my home. This is all working well but for the following issue.
Recently the connection has started dropping when the phone is ued.
When this happens the Belkin N1 router will not synch itself to the ADSL again. However if I plug in my Livebox and do a reset, that will synchronise. Once I have synchronised though the Livebox, I can plug the Belkin N1 in again and it works fine till next time, when I have to repeat the process.
I have contacted Belkin and been given instructions on how to reset the Router / I have checked for firmware upgrades / and I have tried all sorts but what works is as described above.
It's obviously a pain to have to keep doing this - Does anybody have any thoughts on why this might work....

So very similar to the PPP server down solution but in reverse !!!!!
One thing's for sure......it's not the Belkin that's at fault.
