Hi

I've had the good old PSP Server Down issue for a month now and getting no where with Orange fixing it. If i get my MAC code and change my provider will this error effect my new ISP? My thinking is that it wont but i want to make sure that i don't need this error to be fixed before i do anything.

No, another ISP won't have the same problem.

PPP server down relates to Orange server connection to your local exchange.

You are connecting to the exchange OK but (you're probably on LLU) the exchange equipment isn't passing through to Orange servers.

Remember that 30 days without connection and a record of this with CS/TS and you can cancel without incurring any charges.

Also be aware they will offer you the earth to stop you leaving which is your choice but that will entail you paying less for PPP server down with a shiny new 18 month contract. Twisted Evil

PPP server down can effect other ISP's "only" if your on an IPStream connection to start with. Generally it would be extremely rare for it to exist this long and not get fixed on IPStream.

For LLU connections then yes, it's almost guaranteed the problem will disappear if you migrate.
