So my line is the problem and ornage haven't done anything ? Is it normal for aline to change speeds after more than a year and then stay at the lower speed for months ?
Is it likely that my speed will ever increase again ?

Today finally we had our adsl back after 2 weeks! We have the 2Mbps at present (but I am going away for a real 8Mbps) and it was 2Mbps - I could not believe it and then?
We are back in August when my story started!
At peak (example now!) between 9/10pm it slows down or cut off.
ADSL is still connected, but Orange servers cannot keep up with the demand because they probably do not have a certain (forced)number of users per server. So, servers get stuck for too much demand.
They keep lowering their prices and consequently their reliability too.
Why not raise prices a bit (which means millions per year to them) get more servers and offer an excellent connection ?
PS my sync data rate is 2272 and I do get about 2Mbps here at work.
At home used to be around 1400/1600 (August 2007 until yesterday!) and in fact was 0.9/1 Mbps
Now is up to 2272 at home too and get 1.9/2Mbps - apart from lousy commection last night within 9pm to 10:30pm - as usual
