We're moving home on the 20th (it's now the 7th). Our BT LandLine number will not be changed, and we're going to stay with Orange Livebox.
Ok, so Orange says we should ring them beforehand, and the connection will be available in 15 working days.
BUT,
Having read lots and lots of threads in the forum, and from previous experience with Orange, we realise that what they say is probably not going to happen.
Does anyone have any advice as to what we should do to avoid the usual Orange problems?
Also, just out of curiosity, why do we even have to inform them before moving house? We're sticking with the same number, and since the broadband goes with the phoneline shouldn't the connection be up automatically?
Has anyone tried not notifying them?
Any advice is much appreciated, and thanks in advance
Plenty of people have tried not informing Orange about a Move House, only to be left without broadband. If you contact them once the phoneline is on in your new house they can get the broadband provided, usually takes 10 working days, sometimes can be as fast as 6
