I've been trying to migrate to Orange ADSL for over 2 weeks now.
I've spent hours on the phone - Various calls centre staff have typed my order into the system again and again and again. Each time, my order fails (they get some kind of general error) right at the end of the order process after they have taken my direct debit details.
I only took out my mobile phone contract to get their cheap broadband, but it seems I can't even get that.
I've now been told (by the call centre) that they have not been able to process any migration orders at all for the last two weeks. Apparently, the staff are supposed to just fill in a "smart form" containing minimal details and the MAC code then send it off to an escalations department - But the escalations department can't process the order either.
I don't know if this is true or not, but it's pretty pathetic and I just don't know what to do now... Anyone got any tips???
