hellooo
though i could get it sorted but still cant. this IT man came to have a ganders, he was here around 5 hours and even he couldn't work it!
i'l try to fill you all in
netgear router connected (on network connections says its active/connnected..) but when IE is opened message says cannot find server
started of setting it up wirelessly .. quite impossible to connect it with ethernet, would mean alot of removing. but i think someone has said to me to try this...
we have
deleted the speedtouch software (incase this was confusing my little PC)
turned Norton off (never know.. might have a firewall)
connected everything, followed instructions and tried our best
no idea what could be the problem, if the I.T man can't fix it i might have to give up hope and just throw the box out the window

If you could connect ok with the speedtouch and not with the router its probably faulty is it a DG834G v2 or v3 and does it have the latest firmware on it ? (its at the top of the router status page)

got a extenstion for phone line - so i could plug router in with ethernet (to see if this could help)
it set-up and everything, but comes up with "no IP addresses" can these be found on Orange site or are they like individual to each line??
If it's the IP address for the connection, no. They are dynamically assigned when the router connects so it may suggest some sort of connection problem through the extension.
