OK,

So most of you may have read my angry thread:

Where basically, after a VERY long story, my line speed was capped at half a meg (actually, 350mbps) and Orange had said it was because I'd been 'upgraded' to BT IP Max from LLU (I was getting 3.5mbps before...)

So ANYWAY I emailed that executive.office@orange.co.uk and got an immediat response, a lady called Greeta who then got a technician to call me (one based in this country!)

This technician started out saying that BT knew about the 'fault' and were dealing with it (This was the first time Orange had admitted there was a fault, rather than that's just how fast I can get!)

THEN (and this bit is CLASSIC...)

He then told me, whilst reading the notes on the fault, that it was because BT had keyed in 'Max Line Speed, 350kbps' instead of 3500kbps.

IDIOTS!!!

So now my speed is back up.

(Personally, I think it was an Orange problem, and they just blamed it on BT!!)

Anyway, my speed is now 1mbps and will apparently increase the more I use it.

Wahay!

350kbps shouldn't even be a selectable value and new provisions/regrades are not normally manually done in that way anyway.
