You can't prevent them using P2P software unless you can add some sort of software to each PC to restrict what can and can't be used. However without port forwarding set within the livebox P2P usually doesn't work all that well.
As for monitors, again you'd need to run it on every PC and add up how much they all use. Just google free download/bandwidth monitors. Otherwise I'm sure someone will post their recommendations.
