Just wondering if anybidy has a way of getting the so called "Filters" to work at all ?
I had around 15 or so filters set up that worked pretty well in only allowing mail for specific email names to land in my inbox (and therefore available via POP3), eg Bilbo@, hawkeye@, news@ and so on. Most Spam was deleted.
I did this by having the first few route mails I wanted to the inbox with one final rule that, for example said if "Freddy" was contained within the "To" line Delete it. As "Freddy" is within my Freeserve address that meant every remaining mail after my first few filters had taken effect would be caught by it.
Foolishly yesterday I edited one of the rules - this has had the result that none now work. I've deleted them all replaced with just one that should in theory dump all mail into my Deleted folder - nope doesn't work.
Anybody have a magic wand they can wave in the air to sort this problem out - if not that any ideas as to what to kick to get it to work again.
Oh, I have sent a mail via Help "Contact Us" link - see what sort of humerous reply I get !
Many thanks in advance.
[EDIT]
Well since posting the above my filter has worked for one e-mail. The automated reply from Orange to say they have my enquiry and will respond some time ended up in my deleted folder !
Offers of $30m from Nigeria, Russian blondes who want to marry me, Cream to increase the size of my manhood, Diplomas and more fake watches than I really need continue to be ignored and arrive in my "inbox".

Stupid question I know, but can you not re-create them as per the originals ?......think I know what the answer will be because I've been there.

Thanks Borednow - tried that, or least some of them in the order the were.
Problem is though I can really verify/test the first few rules which allow specific user names though as the last filter which should then route all remaining unwanted mail into the deleted folder doesn't kick in - result being all mail lands in the inbox.
If I just use my final filter on its own it should dump all mail into my deleted folder but it isn't. Once that works I can try and add before that filters which pick out wanted addresses.
Presumably you are downloading all the required messages from webmail into own email client aren't you ?
Many thanks for the input.
Ermm..lost me a bit though.
Only mail that is shown in your webmail "Inbox" is available/mirrored for POP3 download from pop.freeserve.co.uk (or its aliases). My previous filters resulted in only mail I wanted in my Inbox and therefore available for POP3 download. The several hundred junk mails I receive overnight ended up in my deleted folder and therfore not shown when you look at your POP3 mail. I don't actually delete mail from the server after a POP3 download either so they remain in my "Inbox".
Any mail dumped into your Webmail Deleted folder or any other folder you have created is not available via POP3 (Don't know if they support IMAP - never looked into it, but thats not really an issue).
