So then, i've signed up with Be*, got my MAC code from Orange and been through the procedure. Today is my Be* activation date. However, it says not to connect with Be until my Orange connection goes off. Does anyone know when that will be? Should it be today? To coincide with my activation date? I'm not quite sure? Any ideas?

Hi joel88
Yes it should happen today, when i joined Bethere my migration never happened till about 6.30pm you will know when as your Orange connection will gradually die out, however if you are going to use the BeBox (SpeedTouch router) its best to wait about 40 minutes before you connect the Be Box to wait for the previous IP leases to run out.
Hope your migration goes ok.

No i use my own router settings are below based on a Netgear, but these are the settings
ADSL Settings Multiplexing Method : LLC Based
VPI : 0
VCI : 101
Basic Settings Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login : No
IP Address : Get Dynamically (unless using static)
DNS Address : Get Automatically From ISP (unless you opted for static IP or using OpenDNS Servers or the like)
Use this MAC address : BeBox's MAC address
Some routers require to:
Select ETHoA or Routed Ethernet over ATM or 1483 Briged connection
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that mate, sadly, today was my activation date but my Orange broadband hasn't gone off yet, which i presume means the Be Broadband isn't activated yet.

They sent me a message on the Be forum saying it's been delayed by BT and they'll keep me posted. Got to say, despite it being a delay it's great customer service.
Yea they are keeping me updated. Be customer service seems to be pretty amazing i must admit. Can't imagine Orange would help like this at all. Although i know they are a bigger company.
Cheers for your help by the way Steve. Much appreciated, my (soon to be) Be comrade!!
