8. You have a right to ask for a copy of your information (for which we charge a small fee) and to correct any inaccuracies
The data protection act does cover requesting your notes or details held about you. They have the right to charge you a admin fee to provide the details requested, £10 maximum in legislation last I read.
If you want your notes I believe it's the customer support team rather than tech you call to request them, they should give you details of what to do, AFAIK I believe it has to be a written request but I'm not certain.
I believe the charges are a maximum of £10 for copies of electronic records and a maximum of £50 for printed ones. In terms of the format of the request, I'd be surprised if a verbal request would be sufficient - for the sake of confidentiality if nothing else, I'd expect the company to require a written request.
I'm not basing that on Orange though, only contact I've had with other organisations.
