But remember if you do use the 2 and 5 wire trick then do the same for all the extension boxes. In a large house with many metres of phone cable the removed wires represents a significant reduction in "aerial effect".

You are already on IPStream Max which is a BT product bought in by Orange with speeds up to 8. You're speed is 0.5 which could be as good as it gets due to the distance you are away from the exchange.
Have you ever been with an ISP where you have had a faster speed?
The figure causing the problem is Attenuation (dB) : 63.5 - to get faster this figure needs to be lower, whether that is possible is another question.
What I would do is take everything out of phone lines and plug router in. Make sure you have decent filters.
With luck your attenuation may improve, but I have got my doubts.

Keith : Fantastic - thanks. In a word, sorted.
After following this advice and making sure all my extensions are wired with just the 2 and 5 wires are connected, my line test has improved to
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 1000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 2432 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 743 kbps
This is a major change to my linespeed and I can now watch a Youtube video !
Thanks for all the advice so far. Keith I note you're in weston-super-mare and that's where my parents are based, so the next time I visit, I owe you a beer!

And this is my next project! My house is old and old, so it makes sense to put cat6 for both telephone and IP (for future VoIP in the house?) into the rooms as we decorate!
Good sense !..........I'm sure many problems, particularly connections, reported on this site need not have happened if more attention was paid to the telephone cabling within the property.
Some properties still have original phone wires installed from the 1960s and 70s.......when broadband wasn't even in the egg and sperm race !!
