Speedtest gives 1800 - (about the same since I've been LLU'd) yet webpages seem to take longer to load these days. I've checked my MTU settins as I did a while back and am using a figure of 1440. Should this be something I should review and possibly reduce?

I won't bother calling tech support cos they will only tell me to clear my internet cache, and turn off my firewall and anti-virus

I don't recall seeing that MTU before.

To try:

1430 MTU, 166800 RWIN
1458 MTU, 153144 RWIN

Others:
1430 MTU, 522640 RWIN
1468 MTU
1470 MTU, 37500 RWIN
1478 MTU, 204196 RWIN
1482 MTU
1492 MTU - Has been advised by Orange in the past
1498 MTU

Could also be slow DNS servers.

Does your browser show 'looking up xxxxxxxxx' for a while then load the page quickly, if so it may be worth specifing DNS servers.

There are a couple of sets of DNS servers you could use - by default the Livebox (or a different router if you have one) acts as a DNS relay.

1440 was the highest I got in a ping test get without the packets fragmenting. Perhaps I could reduce to 1430

In a way my mistake - the MTUs I posted are for up to 8mb.

Although I don't think anyone knows for sure whether these 2mb connectiosn are IPStream or LLU - so may be worth trying them.
