I can connect through ppoe, which I am using right now...but not ppoa (which my PS3 uses too)
Anyone else been offline this amount of time?
I'm in SE London.
Also, can't view the Orange website to get the helpline number or server service number (to check if their are any problems with the server)...ppoe connection won't let me do it.
Does anyone have those numbers at hand?
Appreciate it.
Regards,

Hello again,
Got onto Tech Support....feed up with waiting for my connection to come back on.
Got through quickly and luckily got escalated for a call back.
Got the call back 10 mins after, and they told me nothing that I didn't already know...uninstall Firewall/Anti-Virus, uninstall/reinstall IE, and if that didn't work...reinstall Windows from stratch!
OK, so put to work doing the above....and guess what, soon as I get off the phone...my connection light on my modem goes green....strange!
After doing the Windows reinstall...still no luck.
But, noticed the MTU settings page on here, thought i'd give it a try...last thing and all that.
Downloaded DrTCP...altered my MTU settings and rebooted.
What do you know....could view webpages and everything straight away!
Altered my PS3 (which couldn't connect all weekend aswell) MTU rating too on its settings...and that could also connect at a lower MTU straight away.
Now, my question is...why since Friday, between when my connection light was Red and when it went green today...why did I have to change my MTU settings?
What has changed on Orange Broadband for me to have to do that?
Yes problems here too (posting this on my break at work).
Worked fine Friday morning - came home Friday evening, dead, using BT Voyager 2100 tells me that Ping Primary DNS fails (IE Oranges end) rang CS who told me to do stupid things like check ethernet cable, reinstall IE (don't use it) and other things.
Why do they not admit it is them? It's not the first time I've had issues, looks like I will be leaving.....GRRR
