As the title says but i think its my fault, my new puppy bit through the router cable that leads to the splitter, so what i did is put another splitter into the splitter to connect as i didnt have another longer cable, is this the reason it disconnects me from the internet every time i make a call/recieve a call.
By splitter do you mean the filters? They have 2 different sockets compared to a splitter that should have 2 or more the same.
If you've plugged a splitter into the filter then the broadband would be connected to the phone side and you'd be using a dialup cable.
If however you've connected a filter into the first filter then again it's connected through the phone side but you'll hopefully be using the right cable.
Either way you need to connect to the ADSL/Modem/Broadband side of the first filter directly, so getting a new cable and putting it back how it was will probably be easiest.
