I am thinking about getting Windows Vista Home Premium x64, but apparently there are currently only 32bit drivers for the Inventel Wireless recievers, Is there no way they'd work in x64 bit Vista?
There are no vista drivers for the Inventel, it's just on 32bit you seem to be able to get it to use the XP drivers.
As they're not sold or, I believe made, anymore there'll probably never be vista drivers for it.
There should be a bunch of other adapters that work fine with vista, whatever version is it. I know the 122g adapter Orange sell works and it's unlikely other manufacturers have missed a gap in the market like that.

Thanks a LOT for the reply!
Ah right, so would I be better going for the 32bit Vista?
I have the Livebox, and apprently Orange (Wanadoo at the time we got it) won't allow you to use any other adaptors with it, I don't know how or why?
So if I was to get x64 Vista, what are my options?
If there is an adaptor that will work with the Orange Livebox and has x64 Vista Drivers, could you please provide me with a link to the product (from UK please) and the drivers that would work with it.
Thanks so much for any help, I really owe it to you!

Well more things work with the 32bit version but it's not so bad if you just stick to new equipment. It's best to check beforehand for any specific hardware if you're not sure.

Well back then it was more they wouldn't help or support other adapters, easy to mix that up with it won't work with others.

Just try the main brands, I'm sure they'll have something that'll work. As far as Orange go they sell the SpeedTouch 122g, which works fine on 64bit vista and will support but it upto you if you want a different make.

So other adaptors will work with the Livebox and Vista x64, if so, that's great news!
But there isn't any way I can get the current Inventel one working on Vista x64 is there?
I can't seem to find the new Orange Wireless adaptors anywhere, to buy that is, Can you give me a link please? And you're sure this will work with Vista x64 AND be compatable with my current "old" Livebox?
Thanks

That is for drivers only you will need to buy the appropriate adaptor Amazon.co.uk/?tag=orangeprobcou-21&camp=6&creative=6786&linkCode=ur1"> Amazon should have one or any of the broadband online shops like broadbandstuff and broadbandbuyer and Here and get the appropriate drivers from that link.
