Since the beginning of JULY I have had no wireless talk. I haven't been able to ring or receive calls. I contacted customer services ( I wont even go there cos I'll be here all night ) I have done everything conceivable but I still have no talk facility. I have been onto the Office of Fair Trading and they advised that Orange are in breach of contract as they have failed to provide the service for which I signed to the contract. I have written to Orange and had a technician call me. He talks good and has the gift of the gab to placate me. I have given the situation one more week, if nothing else works I will terminate my contract ( I have another year to go ) and find a company that actually has a CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
I've had ... well, STILL HAVING ... the EXACT same problems ... actually .. my wife is on the phone with Orange as I am typing this as I am fed-up after calling them about 100 times over the past month. They've reset my livebox Three times, restarted my call service, sent me a new adaptor and escalated it to the highest level possible a few weeks ago, but STILL no luck ... they've also promised me that they would not charge me as I have been having these problems, but when I check my bank account I see that they are taking off payments!!! Pathetic ... !!! I've asked them countless times if they cannot send me a Livebox as my service used to work perfectly fine before ... but no .."It's been escalated to the highest level" ...

TALK PHONE NOT WORKING
The Livebox does not like thunder and lightning which is is the main reason the talk stops working even thought the light remains red.
Checks before replacement Livebox is sent:
> -had a replacement phone adaptor
> -factory reset Livebox at least 3 times
> -tried with at least 2 or 3 different handsets
> -had the talk service account closed and reopened - they may well have stopped doing this because it causes them problems at their end.
I have also had this problem since july..I just go round in circles with the help line, I got through to a "supervisor" but the line failed halfway through the conversation.
I have never been called back by the escalation team, have tried factory resets,different adaptor, and different phones. I am now a VERY p'd off customer.
same problem here with Live box.....no phone since mid June. Have been down the new adapter/new transformer/new phone/reset live box route but phone is totally dead even though red light is on and flashes if Orange livebox number is called. My complaint has been escalated also which obviously means "put on the back burner". It was escalated in mid July and since then I have heard nothing.
I have e mailed Orange to say they are in breach of their terms and conditions and that I want to leave. I have heard nothing form them. It's just absurd they way they treat their customers.
Has anyone had any success with a dead phone being brought back to life again?
Managed to get through to someone helpful at Orange who arranged to send me a new Livebox after I said I wanted to cancel my contract. She also said I would be entitled to a refund for the amount of time the Livebox was not working.
New Livebox arrived last week and with a helfpul guy on Tech support from Orange managed to get phone working again. So I was right all along....the Livebox was faulty and no replacements of filters, phones and power adaptors was ever going to make a scrap of difference. (nor would resetting the box 99 times!)
I recontacted Orange to let them know the Livebox had not worked properly for 3 months (to the day) and to arrange refund of payments for Livebox services but they will only agree to let me have 1 months refund of fees for Broadband.
I protested that the Livebox phone was the main reason I had gone with the contract and that since they had not provided a Livebox that worked for 3 months. Therefore the Live box was not "fit for purpose" and I should be entitled to a refund of 3 months.
They say I have to contact their Head Office in writing before this will be considered.
If you are having problems with your Livebox you need to insist that it is replaced or you will cancel your contract..without any penalty since they are in breach of their terms and conditions.
As for getting money back for lack of service...well try and see. Write to everyone...lol.
I've just spent another 26 mins on the phone trying to sort this out.. (since June) and they appear to have a problem with Livebox's, I'm told Orange France are now trying to solve the problem but they will get a new box out to me asap. Why couldn't this be done in June when I first reported the problem as its the obvious easy answer...
The customer service really does need to change,
Maybe there is a World wide shortage of Liveboxes...they all seem to fail after a few months.
Hope you get this sorted...don't give up. Try saying you are going to cancel your contract. That usually prompts some action.
I was told I would be sent a "jiffy bag" so i could return my old Livebox. It didn't arrive so I phoned and asked if they would send me one. The old Livebox is cluttering up the place. That was 2 weeks ago and still no bag! Maybe if I threaten to throw the old Livebox in the bin????

-14 June 07, loss of talk service
-30 June after endless CS calls new livebox received, new talk number allocated
-unistall/reinstall old/new livebox, still no talk service
-0ct 26 07 - 3 MONTH's LATER - and countless ranting and raving at CS INdia reps, the phantom "we will escalate to CAT team" i get put through to a uk rep who sees that the replacement livebox talk number was never activated but has been too long so has to give me yet another new number - says switch box off and ill call you back in 10 mins. 10 mins passes and she calls back on a uk number 01927... asks me to switch the box on and bingo talk service is back on. She was so helpful its untrue!! however i tried to call her back but the number doesnt take incomming calls
-Oct26 to Nov13 all peace and harmony has been restored talk service working, bb with 4214kbs download speed.
-Nov14th : AHHHHHHH a quick glance at my livebox on my way out and i see only 2 out of 3 lights lit - the talk service light is NOT lit!!!!!!! switch box of at mains, wait 5mins and switch back on....THE TALK SERVICE IS DEAD! pick up handset just get an engaged tone, try and dial number and it turns to a dead tone (try and explain that to the CS India reps - no chance!!) call the livebox number and it goes straight to voicemail. Start swearing uncontrollably switch the box off and head off to work!!
-when i get home tonight ill switch the livebox back on, and somehow im hoping the talk service is working again. If not i really dont have the mental energy to go through the whole crap AGAIN!!!! but as my bb is running at 4mb ill just be thankful for that
