First up Lad24LFC, well done for getting rid - hopefully there won't be any more troubles from Orange (although unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if there were).

i called Orange tech help, so that they could honour what they had said last week. That if i was not up and running on/after 30 days i could leave at no cost to me and that i could have my MAC code. Well, first of all they denied that they had agreed that.
this bit above doesn't surprise me in the slightest though!

I was one of the customers who went for the £300 discount off any laptop. i still have the laptop and it was not mentioned. I paid £300 on top of the discount to get a £600 ultra mobile one that i like very much. I suppose this will be something that Orange will have to sort out with Currys, lets call it compensation.
and this bit? getting £300 off a laptop does not mean it's ok to get non-existant broadband. i'd imagine it's yours to keep too.
As mentioned above, i moved over to ADSL24 on the 19TH. All i can say is that its great. 7meg average (500 metres from exchange) i did have one prob on the day of activation but the tech help sorted it for me quickly AND returned my call.
I will now compile my complaints concerning Orange to OFCOM.
My ordeal is over now, but i feel so sorry for all you other Orange victims. Orange won't keep all you guys once your contracts finish.
