There is no much to say. Our connection went down last Thursday (10 May) and it's still dead!
So we called BT to check if everything was fine with the local exchanged. They didn't see any problems. So we called Orange to check what was wrong - they said that everything was fine on their side and said that this was caused by BT. So we called BT again, and Orange again, who finally said that this will be good within 48 hours. That was last Friday.
Of course nothing happened and broadband is still down. We tried to call Orange help line 1000000 times and every time they cut us off the line after being on hold for ~45 minutes.
Today they finally told us that 'there is a major technical problem in London area' and that 'it should be all fine within few hours'...

Is anyone experiencing such a cr*p service?
Believe it or not - it's still DOWN! Anytime we call Orange Support they keep repeating "It should be ok withing 24/48 hours..."
I am wondering if a week at Orange has got 12 hours or what...!!! We are 'celebrating' day 12 today!
hi
we have had the sme problem, Apparently BT were doing an upgrade, then it turned out it was Orange who were trying to change us onto the LLU. But with no success, we called customer service in uk, tech support in India & BT - about 30 times in total as this has been ongoing for about 2 months. still with no resolution. My partner works for BT and we used to get a reduced rate from them, but as i had an Orange mobile it seemed to make sense to get it from Orange for free! however its been nothing but problems - which we never experienced with BT - so we're going back to BT Vision! ORANGE ARE CRAP - as soon as i am out of contract with my mobile i will be looking to move that to a proper provider also!

I can say only one thing here - I absolutely agree! Last news are that broadband should be running as of today so will check it when I get home..
We are moving to a new house soon and there is one thing I am pretty sure about - Orange won't come with us!!!
I tried to get my old Compaq Windows Millenium Edition connected yesterday.
It didn't work so I called "Kenneth" in Bangalore.
He told me that the machine was obsolete and that I needed to take it back to the shop for an upgrade to XP.
I am an old Wanadoo customer, it worked perfectly well until they started tweaking at there end.
I got through to his manager eventually and she told me that not only was it Kenneth's first day in the job, it was his first call.
Lucky Me!
Anyway I reloaded the Wanadoo CD and....it worked!
Close the call centres and go back to basics maybe?

Alright - after more than a month - we are again up and running. It took us many many phonecalls to Orange and BT, when one was accusing the other one of errors on the line. Finally - BT engineer came in last weekend, when BT line was totally dead (they didn't forget to warn us that if it was an error on our side (hardware) it would be £200 visit). They found an error on the exchange box down our street where the cable was physically cut out. They connected it and everything seems to be working now...
But one last thing I just have to say - f**k off BT & Orange!!! I am moving houses pretty soon and will do my best to find any other option to get rid of these greedy b*stards!

we've had no broadband for 11 days now, and we keep calling the tech support in india and the uk. they keep telling us they'll do line tests and to call back in 24 hours. theres been no fault on the line every time, but we've got no connection. we're asking for a MAC code and they say it will take about 10 days. i know it can only take 5 days and now they're refusing to give us one as they say there's no problem with our broadband!! can anybody help us?

After escalating it as high as possible every day for a week we've suddenly got broadband, sort of. I've done a speed test on speedtest.net and got a download speed of 98kbps and upload of 24kbps. We are supposed to be on 8MBps and it has been 8 meg before! Those at Orange are not being helpful and say someone will call back because nobody can see a problem on the line or at the exchange, and we aren't getting this MAC code because they don't want us to leave!!
