Im really p!ssed off with Orange.. (aren't we all!) Ive been fobbed off for 9 months! ive have the BB max 8mg service but only getting 2mg DL. Ive rung loads and sent letters and emails but got no logical response.. I have found out that the line profile or bRAS profile is stuck but they don't have a clue what to do about it! how can I and who do i neen to contact to get it reset so i can get the service im paying for?
I complained to ISPA and Orange have rung me a few times but still don't know how to solve the prob.
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 2000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps (UP-STREAM) 8096 kbps (DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1944 kbps
If you wish to discuss these results please contact your ISP.

Re-setting bRAS profile is done by ISPs. Broadband Response team ( broadband.response@uk.orange.com ) would be able to resolve it, who have you been talking to ?

Probably Every F'in foreign techy and now the people who rung me after complaining to ISPA.
I ll email them on that addy, see if that will do anything..

That address is just the standard support email address and has no greater access to resetting a stuck profile than just phoning up.
Really the best option is to get through to either CAT or Escalations and request they call BT faults directly and request the profile is reset.
Why dont poxy Orange realise this is a bigger problem than they realise and train the useless foreign techy centres to identify it and fix it without all the hassle!

Because it's not actually all that common, if it was then it would just be a standard check for any BT speed related fault on ADSL Max.

Its only taken them 9 MONTHS and at least 10 explanations from me on exactly what the had to do to fix it!

Now request, in writing, a full refund of the difference between the service you've received and the service that you were paying for those 9 months. If they don't refund,
then go to https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp (small claims court)

They give me a months free, and 3 months half price, on the BB unlimited. better than nowt i suppose! works out at £50 ish instead of the £27 difference on packages
