Ever wanted a good job within a local call centre, with decent prospects, a reasonable pay, good benefits including discounted broadband (if you really want it!) and a fee free mobile phone after Three months probation then read on....
Orange is the ANSWER!
Opportunities available now for jobs in Sales, Collections and General Dogs Bodies Department.
What we are looking for:
A bright enthusiastic nature.
The ability to adapt to any situation ( we constantly throw you in the deep end with no support whatsoever!)
Ability to handle confrontational calls ( no support from very few managers who really dont care in the first place!)
Hermaphrodites or Bearded ladies need only apply.

I got mailed by a recruitment site recently for a job at Orange, and one of the pictures was people queuing up at mobile loos you see in the fields of concerts / events etc. I nearly posted the picture here, but I thought you'd think I was taking the p**s

While we always look forward to the start of a new relationship, retaining our customers year-on-year is what really floats our boat. If a customer is thinking of leaving, they’re put through to the Retentions team. It’s their responsibility to understand the customer and quickly come up with a solution that’ll persuade them to stick with us.
So, if you were applying for this job and you were asked at interview with Orange how you would "quickly come up with a solution that’ll persuade ( - the customer - ) to stick with us"...
What would your answer be?
- And you're not allowed to say "depends on how much the bonus is"!!!!
for god sake do not get your broadband through Orange. they cut costs by swapping to LLU but alot of the LLu points do not work and it takes weeks at the best to get it fixed, i have worked for Orange/wanadoo. Had customers waiting for 6 months to get BB back up and running. And most of the advisors are idiots, dont get me wrong as you will know you will occasionally get through to someone who knows what they are talking about. Unfortunatley these are few and far between. Orange has recently closed its cue for Orange & wanadoo customers leaving them with the useless help of foreign call centers with no idea of what your are going on about as they do not have readily available BB in their countrys and are working from a set problem guide, bring back the UK call groups with an understanding of what actually makes BB work
I might apply for the north tyneside one, got a mate who works there and its good pay and stuff, i jsut wont be taking advantage of any cheaper broadband offers lol
orange BB is no longer at northtyneside, all that there is is BB regi, they moved it abroad and back to original wanadoo centers. if you want a job there be prepared to lose your self dignity
