I am meant to be recieving a service from Orange that hasn't worked for the last 5 weeks due to a "link down synchronisation in progress" problem. After several calls all answers have been "there is a fault on your line wait for x number of days" where x is between 1 and 6 days.
I plan to get my MAC code tonight as I am sick of ringing them, although I have 2 months left on my contract I intend to argue that the service is unfit for purpose and that they have breached contract before I have.
On another note I just put my phone details into the ADSL24 broadband providers availability check and they have said there is currently no ADSL service present - and that I can sign up now...
Not sure whether to try it or whether it will cause a whole load more problems
anyone got any advice please?? I am so close to snapping over Orange broadband now I am sick of the robbing gits

If i was you i would ring ADSL24 and speak to someone about it to see what you can do im sure they will help you one of the guys that runs it also runs DSL ZoneUK site and forums im sure he is aware of how dire Orange is and their reputation considering they are at the bottom of his ratings list on the site.
Good luck

Would indicate that Orange have not processed your connection with BT Wholesale. Try checking the Order Tracker on the adslzone website. This will indicate if their are any open orders on the line and further confirm whether adsl is active or not.
I have been in contact with someone from ADSL24 and they say that Orange have ceased the service on the line, which is why their availability checker says the line is free. The upside is that Orange have broken contract and so I will cancel the direct debit and change to ADSL24 straight away. The downside is that I have to pay a reactivation fee of £52.
I also need to try get a refund of the 5 weeks of no service from Orange, which will be a pain in the ass but I want it on principal alone.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated. I am glad I am not alone in my fight against Orange, trust me when I say that I will never ever go back to them for any service.
