Alright, hopefully someone here can help me. For a few years I have been using an fsmail account. conor@fsmail.net to be exact. However, I started receiving some harrassment email about 18 months ago from a certain person and my use of the account slowed down.
However, the person that was sending me the threatening and abusive emails has continued to find me at other locations and has continued sending the threatening and abusive emails. My girlfriend and I have commenced legal proceedings against this guy who is known to us, everyday I have to print out a dozen of his emails and private messages, block his newly setup accounts as a user and report him for cyberbullying, but the guy doesn't give up, he is delusional. The only way to get him off our backs is legal action.
My problem is that I really need to get access to my old conor@fsmail.net account to get the copies of these original harrassment emails, only I'm not allowed by Orange. Does someone have a direct link to a place that can help me, or where I can easily reactivate my account. The problem is I cant remember exactly what the password is... I know all the other details like the answer to the security questions etc. but the password could be a range of my passwords...
Im really stuck, as in the only other option is for my solicitor to get a court order for Orange to release the information in my account. This road I dont want to go down but will have no other choice if I cant get access myself.
So any genius out there willing to help out a couple that are badly stuck and sick of living with this guy's torment....

Well, for one thing the email address you've quoted isn't of the standard format - they were name@accountname.fslife.co.uk usually, I'm pretty sure, although my address was a freeserve.co.uk one, and it's possible that the fslife addresses were different and my memory is defective. However, If you're attempting to use an invalid address you obviously won't be able to log in.
What do you mean when you say that you're "not allowed by Orange"? Do you mean that you just can't log in, or are you implying something else?
when I follow the link and try signing in, this is what it says:
"Sorry - we couldn't deal with your form.
The address you've entered is not found. Please can you re-type it carefully."
Ive been hgetting that for days now.
Then if it's not been used for sometime it may have been deleted from the system completely.
AFAIK there's nothing Orange tech or customer support can do about that.
You could try a Freedom of Information request for any remaining or backup details from that account but it would need to be in writing, may be better coming from a legal standpoint, and they might not be able to provide anything at the end of that.
Cheers for the help everyone. I just thought it was strange that, a few other fsmail accounts that hadnt been used in the same length of time I was able to access alright, but not this one.
Oh well, looks like a court order for the emails I suppose.
Could be, I think there's a crossover between the 2. I know that you have the freedom of the information concerning electronic data held on you by private sector companies and that certain operations of private sector companies are regulated by the FoI Act.
Whichever it is is the one I mean't. It was late and sounded like the right one at the time.
Understood.
I work in local government and FOI requests can be quite distruptive to the day job, so my ears pricked up figureatively at its mention.
At the risk of digressing from matters Orange, my understanding is that FOI applies to public bodies, but all relevant information. So I could ask a council how much it spends on paper clips.
Data Protection applies to all organisations, but is in respect of the data they hold on you.

I am certain that inofrmation is stored somewhere. How do they retrieve information in criminal trials, when somebody like in the Enron trial deleted all the emails.
Surely there must be a way. I am surprised that no one at Orange can even give such advice. has anyone tried to approach the head office with this query
