HI anyone help?Trying to setup psp to livebox but keep geting connection error. Not sure if you have to pair it up (no mention in psp manual) or if it does it automatically.
Try updating the PSP firmware first by using a USB connection to a PC to get access.
After that go through the PSP's system into the wireless settings,
Scan and select the livebox should come up as WPA security I believe,
Enter the key as needed make sure it's in capitals no spaces 0-9 A-F only,
Before you test the connection press the 1 button on the livebox so the antenna light is flashing,
Ideally it should then connect up for you.
Any other options will probably just be the default settings to connect.
Thanks for reply. Already updated the psp firmware. Before I try pressing the 1 button, I just want to be sure it will not affect my wireless connection to my laptop in any way will it (wouldn't want to lose that).
No worries about losing your connection to your laptop, pressing 1 is like taking the lock off a gate for 10 minutes, it will allow your psp to come through the "gate"
Hi hope someone can help iam trying to setup my psp to connect to livebox, the livebox is set to wep only secruity psp scans and finds livebox i then confirm wep sercruity on psp and it asks me to enter code i enter wep code on bottem of livebox and i then get a message on psp that reads this
The key you have enterd is invalid.
Enter a 10 or 26 charecter key when using hexadecimal,
or a 5 or 13 character key when using ASCII characters
ive checked the key over and over again its correct dont know what else to do any advice iam banging my head up against a brick wall
Ok the key should be on the bottom of the box, 26 characters long, only using A-F and 0-9, letters must be in uppercase.
You need to press the 1 button on the livebox, before trying to connect, so the antenna light flashes.
You can also check the key in the config pages of the livebox itself to make sure it's ok.
Open 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer,
Click the link and enter the username and password as both "admin",
Go into Security > Wireless Connection,
The key will be in a box on the screen there so you can double check it.
Got it connected i gave up at first and turned off wep secruity and then connected psp straight away, i wasnt very happy about doing it but i could not get psp to connect and wanted to play online.
this afternoon i turned the wep secruity back on the live box and scaned for the connection again i enterd the wep key and hay presto it connected.
So if you are having problems connection anything like a psp to the livebox turn off wep secruity connect psp then turn wep back on and re connect psp enter code and thsi should work.
